Once upon a time in a land soo far away a star was born. On a sunny afternoon a local bartender name Don Carlos Orozco was going about his normal duties when all of a sudden he looked up to see an angel walk towards him, his whole world came to a halt, it was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen! Don Carlos fell in love.
Sadly his dreams were quickly shattered when he found out that not only was his angel married, but she was Margarita Henkel the daughter of a very important diplomat, the German ambassador at the time in Mexico.
But that didn’t stop Don Carlos, he was not about to let the greatest moment of his life go to waste, he decided that he was definitely going to do something about it.
The Birth Of Margarita
Don Carlos orozco decided that this was his chance, in fact his only shot to impress and he was going to do what he did really well, he was going to bartend. You see, Don carlos loved to experiment with drinks so he asked Margarita if she wouldn’t mind trying a drink of his choice and when she excepted, he was the happiest man alive, Don Carlos named the drink Margarita.
Margarita became a huge success and until this day, it is one of the most favored drinks around the world.
Original Margarita Recipe
- 1 ounce of tequila
- Dash of triple sec
- 1/2 lime or lemon juice
- Pour over crushed ice and stir
- Rub the rim of a stem glass with a rind of lemon or lime spin in salt, pour and sip.
